Involuntary Dismissal Affirmed on Appeal

On February 6, 2018, the Mississippi Court of Appeals affirmed an Involuntary Dismissal obtained by Tommie G. Williams and Tommie G. Williams, Jr. in the Circuit Court of Leflore County, Mississippi.  The underlying case involved allegations of medical malpractice in the performance of an esophageal dilatation during an EGD procedure.  The Williams' successfully challenged the qualifications and opinions of the plaintiff's expert witness, a general surgeon, resulting in the exclusion of the plaintiff's expert witness and the entry of an Involuntary Dismissal.
